If the battery has run completely empty, it can take a few minutes before the phone responds. Simply connect your BlindShell to the charger and give it a little time. A small red indicator light will let you know that charging has started, and after a while you should hear the startup melody.<br>

If nothing seems to be happening, unplug the charger and connect it again. Sometimes the cable or charger simply wasn\u2019t connected properly. Or maybe even check if you're using a cable that ends with a USB Type-A connector on the power adapter end and a USB Type-C connector on the phone end. </span><br>

<span style="font-size:18px">Have you accidentally turned off the voice output on your BlindShell Classic 3? Don\u2019t worry. You can turn it back on in just a few steps.</span><br>

<span style="font-size:18px">1) Make sure your phone is turned on.<br>
2) Increase the volume by pressing the top part of the volume button on the left side of the phone. You should hear audio feedback as you increase the volume.<br>
3) Press and hold the Back button (the button with the red slash). The phone should vibrate and make a sound.<br>
4) If nothing happens, your phone may be locked. Press and hold the Star key to unlock it.<br>
5) Press and hold the Left Action button (the white dot in the top left).<br>
6) Then press the confirmation button (the green round button).<br>
7) Press the Up arrow once, then press Confirm.<br>
8) Press the Down arrow once, then press Confirm again.<br>

How are you today? How long have you been part of the BlindShell team, and what does a typical day look like for you?<br>
<font color="#fa6c0f"><strong>Jan: </strong></font>I\u2019m good, thank you! This is my second year at BlindShell. A big part of my day is communicating with our partners about repairs, especially when we need approval for a paid repair. And, of course, I receive new phones for repair and work on the ones already waiting on my desk.</span><br>
<span style="font-size:18px"><font color="#fa6c0f"><strong>Eli\u0161ka: </strong></font> You must have repaired quite a few phones by now. What are the most common problems you see?<br>
<font color="#fa6c0f"><strong>Jan: </strong></font>Worn-out buttons are quite common, especially with customers who use their phones very actively. But unfortunately, there is a lot of accidental damage, such as cracked covers or water damage. Sometimes a phone has been placed on a wet surface or in spilled coffee. That can often be cleaned. If the phone actually falls into water, though, things can get much more complicated.<br>
<font color="#fa6c0f"><strong>Eli\u0161ka: </strong></font>Do you ever receive a phone that seems completely broken, only to discover that the problem is actually very simple?</span><br>
<span style="font-size:18px"><font color="#fa6c0f"><strong>Jan: </strong></font>Yes! I recently received a BlindShell Classic 3 that seemed completely dead. The display was off, and there was no sound. But the BlindShell Classic 3 allows you to turn off the display completely, and the sound had been turned off as well. So the phone was actually working perfectly.<br>
If something seems wrong, it is worth checking the settings and the user manual first. And if you are unsure, contact our Customer Care team. Many problems that look like hardware failures can actually be solved over the phone.<br>
<font color="#fa6c0f"><strong>Eli\u0161ka: </strong></font>Have you had any repairs that really surprised you?<br>
<font color="#fa6c0f"><strong>Jan: </strong></font>Sometimes a phone looks completely broken and will not even turn on, but the cause is just one component. I remember discovering that a faulty camera could prevent the entire phone from starting because of the phone\u2019s protection system. Once we disconnected the damaged camera, the phone suddenly started working again. That was definitely an \u201caha!\u201d moment.</span><br>
<span style="font-size:18px"><font color="#fa6c0f"><strong>Eli\u0161ka: </strong></font>And now for a very important question. What should someone do if their BlindShell gets wet?<br>
<font color="#fa6c0f"><strong>Jan: </strong></font>The first thing I would do is remove the battery immediately. Water can cause a short circuit, and if electricity continues flowing through the phone, some components can become permanently damaged.<br>
After removing the battery, try to let the phone dry. I would not recommend taking the phone apart yourself unless you know what you are doing, as that requires the right tools and some experience.<br>
Unfortunately, water damage can be serious. Some parts, such as the display, can be replaced, but if certain components on the main board are damaged, the phone may no longer be repairable.</span><br>
<span style="font-size:18px"><font color="#fa6c0f"><strong>Eli\u0161ka: </strong></font>One last question. Is there anything you would like to wish our BlindShell users?<br>

<span style="font-size:18px">The date celebrates the birthday of English scientist John Dalton, who published one of the first scientific studies on colour vision deficiency in 1794. Dalton and his brother both perceived colours differently, and naturally, he wanted to know why.<br>
<br>
His theory? He thought the liquid inside his eyes might be blue and change the way he saw colours. He was so curious that he even asked for his eyes to be examined after his death!<br>
<br>
Well... the liquid wasn't blue. But part of his eye tissue was preserved, and more than 150 years later, DNA analysis revealed that Dalton had deuteranopia, an inherited form of red-green colour vision deficiency.<br>
<br>
His theory might have been wrong, but his curiosity helped us understand colour vision a little better. And we think that's pretty cool!</span></p>
