When: March 13, 2013 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM
Where: Blind Industries and Services of Maryland (BISM)
2240 Northwood Drive
Salisbury, MD 21801
Who: Blind and low vision students (ages 14 & up), parents, teachers,
counselors and other professionals concerned with transitioning youth.
What: This interactive workshop will enable participants to try out
assistive technology and accessible out the box technology. Blind students
and young adults will also learn ways to optimize their independence as they
transition from high school to adulthood in order meet their personal,
professional and scholastic goals. The workshop will be administered by
BISM staff experienced in providing training to the blind, including
successful adult blind role-models.
Format: Feel free to attend this workshop at any time between 4 pm and 6 pm.
To get an idea of how many people will attend the workshop, we ask that you
