What do Nancy Drew Children's Books and the

Soap Opera Hit Days of Our Lives Have In Common?

Find Out At The Friends Annual Meeting!

Featuring Speaker Jeanne Ford

Date: Saturday, October 5th

Time: 9:30 am - 12:00 pm

Maryland State Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped

Library Meeting Room | 415 Park Avenue | Baltimore, MD

Jeanne Ford, keynote speaker at the Friends Annual Meeting, is a

versatile author. One of three Nancy Drew books she wrote is

The Secret of Candlelight Inn, the story of an historic inn

bequeathed to the Guiding Eyes Foundation. The foundation

plans to create a training center for Seeing Eye dogs. Soon

Nancy discovers the inn is not only full of hope, it is also packed

with deep secrets and dark dangers.

Jeanne Ford is also a script writer for the soap opera Days of our

Lives. "Like sands through the hourglass, so are the days of our

lives"-those words have introduced and underscored one of

daytime drama's rare mainstays. Days of our Lives first premiered

as a half-hour drama in 1965 and expanded to an hour 10 years

later. Today, it remains a favorite among viewers of daytime

television serials.

Friends will also recognize LBPH volunteers, who are as versatile

as our speaker. LBPH would not survive without the talents and

assistance of our volunteers.

Join us for mystery, drama, refreshments and other surprises.
