Hello All,

Please write letters in support of changing the name of the Library from
Maryland Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped to Maryland
Library for the Blind and Print Disabled. Since we have already had these
hearings, these letters must be done quickly, and by February 19th. Look
for future announcements about letters for Scooters and Voting.

Ask Senators to vote in favor of SB 326. You may send letters by email or
by regular postage. The email address is:

first name.last name at senate.state.md.us <mailto:name at senate.state.md.us> .
The postage address is: either James Senate Office Building or Miller
Senate Office Building, Annapolis, Maryland 21401. I will tell you the
room and building for each individual.

Everyone should write to Senator Paul Pinsky, Chairman of the Senate
Education, Health and Environmental Affairs Committee, Miller Senate Office
Building, Room 2W.

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is not
the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back.
