All,
Please join me in congratulating Brianna Broadwater, a 2020 NFB National Scholarship finalist from Maryland. Bri is new to the Federation, having only met us when I interviewed her for the 2020 scholarship program. However, since then, she has jumped right in, including participating in several of our weekly COVID-19 calls and joining the Maryland NFB Career Mentoring Program. Bri is a high school senior in Harford County. She is working on making a final decision as to which of five excellent colleges she will attend in the fall.

Congratulations, Bri, and welcome to the Federation family.

Riccobono, President of the National Federation of the Blind. “We are proud to honor these blind scholars, each of whom are raising expectations and breaking down barriers. The accomplishments of these outstanding students are proof that we, the blind of this nation, can live the lives we want; blindness does not hold us back.”
