Fellow Federationists,

The NFB of Maryland is seeking to connect with individuals who have
experienced rideshare denials within the State of Maryland in the last two
years or so due to blindness. If you have had such an experience, please
write to me directly and off-list (President at nfbmd.org
<mailto:President at nfbmd.org> ) and provide the following information:

1.	Your Name
2.	The name of the rideshare company
3.	Whether you had a guide dog or long white cane or something else
4.	On what date this occurred (approximations are fine if you don't
know the exact date)
5.	Where the incident occurred (city and state)
6.	A short description of what happened (just a few sentences) and
include who was traveling with you if anyone
7.	Whether you filed a complaint with the company
8.	What happened if you filed a complaint
9.	If you did not file a complaint, why not
10.	Whether or not you contacted law enforcement
11.	What occurred if you contacted law enforcement
12.	Whether or not you reported this to the NFB's Rideshare
survey/feedback process
13.	Any other important details we should know

Please share this widely with other Marylanders who have experienced
rideshare denials. We are hoping to et as many responses as possible by
January 5, 2026.

Thanks,

Ronza

The National Federation of the Blind of Maryland knows that blindness is not
the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the
expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles
between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want;
blindness is not what holds you back
