[MDABS] NFBMD Committee Appointments - September 2026

Folks,

Please find attached the updated NFBMD Committee appointments as of October
18, 2026.  Please note that Social Media has been combined with Public
Relations.  Nominating Committee is from last year and has not been
appointed for the 2027 convention yet, so what is posted is for last
convention.  The financial assistance committees are confidential and will
not be shared.  

 

The contact information for the committee and group chairs and co-chairs are
listed as well.  I'll be providing each committee chair / co-chair with a
list of their members including contact information.

 

Please note that, in order to ensure accountability and discourage
absenteeism, if you miss two committee meetings and have not been excused by
your chair, you will be removed from the committee.

 

Committee and Group Chairs will provide a report of the Committee's /
Group's accomplishments to the Board on an annual basis.  The report will
contain the following, and is due within 30 days of the close of the event
for event-specific committees or otherwise by December 31 for committees
with rolling work such as advocacy.  The Board will work to get the
different committees on a schedule so that roughly 25% will have their
report dates each quarter.  All Committees and groups are expected to submit
a report for 2026 unless they receive written approval not to do so this
year from the affiliate president.

1.	Name of Committee / Group:
2.	List the activities in which you engaged in the last year.
3.	What was the impact of your committee / group?
4.	What went well?
5.	What could have gone better, and why?
6.	Describe membership participation.
7.	Do you recommend this committee / group continue to operate?  Why or
why not?
8.	What recommendations do you have for this committee / group going
forward?
9.	What support do you need from the affiliate?

Folks,

Please find attached the current NFBMD Committee Appointments, as of
September 2026.  Rather than send out dozens of individual group emails, all
committees where the committee is not confidential is included on the
attached chart.  Please contact your committee or group chair to make sure
they have the most updated contact information for you.

 

Please note that, in order to ensure accountability and discourage
