There are no real rules on making it fun. It will be fun regardless.! Just keep in mind the size and scope of the park and plan accordingly with breaks and snacks.

For the most part, I exposed Jess to all the available rides (height taken into account). Certainly make sure that some of the costumed characters interact with them. Even though the characters are not permitted to speak it should still be an exciting encounter. You can tactfully ask the person if they can touch the layout of the costume head, any large ears or feet etc..

I would resist the temptation to accept offers from ride attendants to "jump the line". Standing in line is a normal part of the experience and you do not want to be singled out as "different".

Take the time to point out in a descriptive way some of the more prominent features you confront.

Hello,
My name is Christine. I'm a Mom of two wonderful blind children age 3 & 5. My husband Doug and I are planning a trip to Disney World for the family. We(parents) have been before but it will be the children's first visit. Disney is such a visual place, I was hoping I could learn from other parents who have been through it, how to make the experience more wonderful, more tactile, more blind friendly if you will. The children have very little usable vision and are not cognitively impaired. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
Smiles, Christine Day
