[Mdpobc] Dancing Dots

I used DD as a braille transcriber for a high school student in Indiana
around 2007-9. I am sighted; I was learning braille but knew nothing about
braille music. The school district ordered DD for me since my student was
an advanced vocal music student.
I was never able to successfully scan the music. It was such a mess that it
was faster for me to just enter the music manually (visually) into the
program. It was necessary to know music to be able to do that correctly,
adding everything including notes with the correct values, dynamics, lyrics
& phrasing markings. But then it translated into accurate braille music for
my student.
Maybe the program has been improved since then and it might have worked if
I had some training. The developers were great helping me over the phone,
however!
