Hi TrudyWe're looking to do a Camper Program this year from July 11-14. Can you get the word out via your network to see how many people would be interested?
Deep Creek Lake Lion's Club Blind Camper ProgramFor
a few weeks each year for over three decades, the Deep Creek Lake Lions bring visually impaired children to
the Deep Creek Lake area to enjoy activities that most fully-sighted people take for granted.

Tentative Schedule:Monday - Noon - Campers arrive. Oak Pavilion at the Deep Creek Lake State Park. Welcome and dinner (pizza)
Tuesday - all day fun on the lake (tubing, fishing and general cruising on lake) Kayaking and canoeing also available. Evening - dinner with Lion's Club at Bumble Bee Road Park (catered dinner, hot dogs, hamburgers, etc)
Wednesday - fun on the lake. afternoon - Mountain Coaster at Wisp, Funland. Thursday- Hike at Swallow falls, Campers pickup at Swallow Falls at 12:00 to Depart
There is some down time, but the events usually flow into each other pretty well. We have campfires/smores in the evenings.

Accommodations:
All camping gear is provided by the Club. 8 person tents will already be set up. Sleeping bags can be provided by the Lions Club if families don't have them. Tents usually work best with no more than 6 people per tent, so that can be any combination of parents and kids. Girls will be in separate tents. Two adults from the Lions Club will be overnight each night in our own tents. Bath and shower house is a short walk from the tents. The campsite includes a very large pavilion with fire pit if the weather turns bad.

Waivers:
The Wisp will require waivers that can be downloaded and filled out prior to getting there here:

Thanks!Chris
