Hello everyone,

This is just a reminder regarding our upcoming holiday party and caroling activities on December 17. I have heard from some of you, but would love to know if anyone else can attend. Please see the below information.

Thanks.

Hello everyone,

The Maryland Parents of Blind Children are happy to once again host a holiday party for all children ages 0-10. This party will take place Saturday, December 17, from 10-12 PM at the National Federation of the Blind; 200 East Wells St.; Baltimore, MD 21230.

The party will include a variety of craft creation activities, and a visit from a very special guest who will bring, among other things, braille books for blind children and print books for sighted children.

This year, we are very excited to offer something a little different for older children—those 8-18 years. We will be taking any interested children and young adults in this age group holiday caroling. We are asking young people in this age group to gather at the National Federation of the Blind at 9:30 AM so they can get ready to travel to the location where the caroling will take place. They will return at noon.

Finally, there will be a lunch sponsored by the Greater Baltimore Chapter of the National Federation of the Blind of Maryland which will take place from noon until 2. All those attending the holiday party and caroling are invited to stay for lunch.

If you are able to attend these events, please RSVP to Melissa Riccobono at 443-708-3663 <tel:(443)%20708-3663> or melissa at riccobono.us

Please include the number of children and adults attending, the ages of the children, whether they will be caroling or attending the holiday party, and whether they are blind or sighted—all sighted sibblings are certainly welcome to attend either event!

Please also include whether you plan to stay for lunch.

Finally, we are in need of volunteers to work at various craft stations during the party. If you are interested in volunteering, please let me know. Any teens needing community service hours can receive these hours by volunteering at this event.

We hope to see many families in December!
