[Mdpobc] Cumberland Event June 3!

Hello everyone,

The Maryland Parents of Blind Children are excited to announce an event for
families to help kick off summer! This event will take place from 10-4 on
Saturday, June 3, in Cumberland. All of the details are below, and in the
attached flier. We are hoping the Cumberland location will make it easier
for families in the Western part of MD to attend, but of course all families
are welcome!

We hope to see you on June 3.

Jump Start Summer

Summer is a great time for learning for all ages! 

l   Start or improve cane travel skills

l   Increase braille exposure at home

l   Adapt family board games and recreation activities

l   Learn about summer training programs for older students

l   Q & A with parents of blind children, blind college students and adult
role models

Learn from certified trainers, early childhood experts, parents from the
Maryland Parents of Blind Children and representatives from the Maryland
Association of Blind Students. 

Who: Parents, grandparents, even aunts & uncles, and children (blind and
sighted siblings) ages infant to high school. Activities for families to
experience together!

When: 10 am - 4 pm, June 3, 2017

Where: Cornerstone Baptist Church

Cost: FREE and lunch is included!
