I believe you can play regular audio CDs on it as well.

The Wave doesn’t play from SD cards or other drives. It is not a replacement for a Victor Stream. It is a Daisy CD player. NLS never did CDs, either.

My daughter just lost her Victor Stream reader and has been in tears. Is this a similar item?

I have a Victor Reader Wave I am giving away.  It is in perfect condition and my son no longer uses it.  It is in the box, with the owner’s manual and charger.  I will mail it to you at my cost. I just want someone to make use of it if anyone can use it, rather than throwing it away.  Please note that Learning Ally is no longer producing Daisy CD’s for the Victor wave but I think the Library of Congress does still have some books on Daisy CDs.
