Dear Families and Friends,

The Maryland Organization of Parents of Blind Children is excited to announce a new monthly series just for parents and caregivers: Parent Playbook Nights!

Beginning October 15, 2025, and continuing on the third Tuesday of every month, we’ll gather on Zoom for open conversations designed around your questions. Each session will highlight a specific topic related to raising blind and low-vision children—but most importantly, this is your chance to ask as many questions as you want. Experts and experienced parents will be on hand to share guidance, practical tips, and personal experiences.

Topics will include:

*	Assistive technology
*	Braille literacy
*	Cane travel and independent movement
*	Daily living skills
*	Transitioning to middle school, high school, and college
*	Blindness training centers
*	Summer camps and enrichment programs for blind kids
*	…and more!

These calls are meant to be informal, supportive, and interactive. Whether you’re new to the journey or have years of experience, Parent Playbook Nights are a place to connect, ask questions, and get real answers from people who know and understand.

📅 When: Kicking off October 15, 2025, and every third Tuesday of the month
