In July my small business inGermantown, MD introduced a new system and method for training the skills of detecting non-visual cues; using them to populate detailed and accurate mental maps and; keeping track of one\u2019s position and orientation while navigating through the environment.<div><br></div><div>It does this in the context of a game-like exercise that children relate to.</div><div><br></div><div>I call the system \u201cFarmer Noah\u201d. It is based on 8 objects I call \u201canimals\u201d. These animals emit the sound of a farm animal when they are tapped with a cane. They also send out a serial number to an iPad or iPhone device.</div><div><br></div><div>The animals are two each, a cow, pig, turkey and sheep. </div><div><br></div><div>These animals emit exercise begins with the teacher or O&M trainer distributing the animals on the ground within an environment. The Trainer then challenges the Trainee to match up the pairs of animals. So it\u2019s like a 3D game of concentration. </div><div><br></div><div>This exercise serves as a basis for training and refining the three cognitive skills I mentioned above. When the exercise is repeated in diverse environmens and with different layouts, the skills become self reinforcing and the system is no longer needed.</div><div><br></div><div>I am trying to identify early adopters for my system.
