Hello Kevin:

Thanks for your response.

Even though I won't be voting much at first since I am not familiar enough
with the issues of the chapter, I still want to be a dues paying member and
will go about doing so.

I am very excited about attending my first meeting.

Daniel

Hello Daniel.

You do not need to be a dues paying member to attend the conference calls.
However, only dues paying members can vote on issues, run for board
positions, etc. Our treasurer will probably be able to shine more light on
how best to get your dues to her.

The call starts with the board proceedings, IE reading minutes, treasurer's
reports, etc. We then move on to other things, such as discussing fund
raising opportunities, introducing new people to our chapter, answering
questions, etc. The way to be recognized during a call is to say your name,
and our president, Candy, will address you when the floor is open. This
minimizes conversational clutter during the call. All in all, it is a nice
time, and it is a great way to introduce yourself to the board and the rest
of the members.

I hope this answers some of your questions, and I look forward to meeting
you on the call.

Kevin
