The Minnesota affiliate will again match individual contributions made by
members of the National Federation of the Blind of Minnesota to our
national White Cane, Jernigan, SUN, and tenBroek Funds between May 15 and
July 11 at 5:00PM Central. up to a total of $6,000, in accordance with
the vote at our 2021 state convention. Said differently: up to $6,000
from individuals is matched by up to $6,000 from the affiliate
treasury!<br><br>

In addition, this lines up with the recently announced
<a href="http://www.nfb.org/give25donate">Lead and Drive, Give 25</a>.
That means that you will be entered into a drawing for expenses to the
2026 national convention or for $2,000 cash. Not only that, but an
anonymous donor will be matching contributions up to $25,000so if you
donate soon, your dollars will be tripled! <br><br>

Between May 15 through July 11, your contributions to our national funds
will be matched by the Minnesota affiliate as long as you either mail a
check to the affiliate or forward us a copy of your receipt to Jennifer
Dunnam at

<li>Mail a check by following these steps:

<li>Make the check payable not to the Minnesota affiliate but instead to
the National Federation of the Blind
<li>List the fund(s) to which you contribute in the memo line
<li>Send the check to the National Federation of the Blind of Minnesota,
2801 Hennepin Ave. S. #126, Minneapolis, MN 55408-1907 (note this is the
new address we changed to last summer!). The treasurer will collect the
checks until July 11, then mail all the checks, along with the
affiliate's matching check, to the national office.

If you donate online, we must receive a copy of your donation receipt or
check by July 11 to be included in the match. You should email your

Here is a little more about the four funds:<br><br>
<br><br>
White Cane Fund: These
dollars go directly to the general treasury of the Federation.<br><br>
Kenneth Jernigan Fund: The
proceeds from this fund are used to bring a number of attendees to their
first national convention. It is named in honor of our former president
and longtime leader to promote attendance at the national convention,
where so much inspiration and learning occur.<br><br>
SUN Fund: These funds are
being set aside in the event that they are needed to support the
Federation during difficult times.<br><br>
tenBroek Fund: These dollars
go to the tenBroek Memorial Fund which owns the property at 200 East
Wells at Jernigan Place in Baltimore for the benefit of blind
people.<br><br>
