Opportunities for Elementary School Students

Federationists:

Thank you for the work that you did to help us recruit high school students
for NFB STEM2U. Your efforts were tremendously helpful! Now we need your
help in our final push to recruit elementary school students. Below is a
note that can be sent to parents, teachers, and students. We are
specifically looking for students in grades 3-6. Again, the students can
live anywhere in the U.S.; students do not need to live in Ohio, Maryland,
or Massachusetts. The application deadline is July 31, so there is not much
time left to apply. Spread the information as far and wide as you can. If
you have questions or need more information, please let me know.

Thank you in advance for your help!

Natalie Shaheen

-----------------------------------

Attention blind and low vision 3rd-6th grade students and their parents:

Have you heard that this coming school year the National Federation of the
Blind is facilitating exciting science, technology, engineering, and math
(STEM) programs across the country! In addition to acquiring new and
exciting STEM knowledge, you will also get to meet blind and low vision
students from across the country at NFB STEM2U!

Each student will attend NFB STEM2U with a parent or chaperone. While the
students are off learning about STEM, parents will attend workshops
specifically designed to provide them with the information that they need to
help their children be successful in school and the community.

**The application deadline for elementary school students is July 31,
2014.** Don't miss your opportunity to capitalize on this great experience!
