Subject: Call for Nominations--Deadline is tomorrow!

Friends,

We have submitted a nomination for Mr. Mark Riccobono, President of the National Federation of the Blind, to receive a White House Champions of Change Award for Summer Programs in recognition of his leadership in nurturing and growing what we now call the NFB BELL Academy. We know the impact of NFB BELL on the lives of blind children and their families throughout this nation.

This type of recognition brings well-deserved attention to the work that we do and helps us secure support to grow. If you feel our BELL Academy helps your child live the life he/she wants, please offer your nomination of Mr. Riccobono as well. The nomination process is easy—just a few simple questions about you and your contact information and a text field for you to write, from your heart, about NFB BELL and it has meant to you and your child.

Here is the link to access the nomination page: https://www.whitehouse.gov/champions

But there’s not much time left. Please submit your nomination by 5:00 p.m. Eastern time, tomorrow, Thursday, January 21, 2016.

The National Federation of the Blind knows that blindness is not the characteristic that defines you or your future. Every day we raise the expectations of blind people, because low expectations create obstacles between blind people and our dreams. You can live the life you want; blindness is not what holds you back.
