something to the list feels like I am lurking. It was wonderful to see so many
of you at the convention. I think that one of the most common complaints I hear
from young adults is how much better they believe their opportunities would have
been if only they had some blind role models in their lives. I know that I
often felt that way. I had good role models in my mother, father, family
members, and respected people in my community, but none of them were blind, and
so, while they gave me good examples of what a man should grow up to be, I
wasn't exactly sure that a blind man could grow up to be that kind of
person.</FONT></DIV>
