Subject: [Brl-coordinators] Thank You

Colleagues,

It is with gladness that I write to thank you for all of your hard work and dedication on the events surrounding March 26 and the launch of the Louis Braille Bicentennial Commemorative Coin. Your diligent efforts have propelled this campaign forward with staggering momentum. Here are just some of the things you made happen:

Already nearly 60,000 commemorative coins have been sold.

Proclamations were signed by 37 governors, mayors, and state legislatures.

Forty-nine separate events were held to celebrate the launch.

Our launch was recognized by CNN, The Associated Press, and dozens of local newspapers.

At the national launch we said that "Braille is knowledge, and knowledge is power." Thank you for helping to spread the knowledge of Braille to blind people everywhere. Thank you for everything you do to empower our blind friends and colleagues. Thank you for helping us to take this next crucial step in proving to the country and the world that Braille Readers are Leaders.

Yours Sincerely,

Fred Schroeder
