[Mn-abs] Legislation: Technology Access

This is to let you know about some hearings coming up tomorrow, Wednesday, on a bill that would strengthen the accessibility requirements for technology used by the state of Minnesota.  The NFB of Minnesota has worked on this issue for a long time, having brought the first legislation to address it in 1998, and we support efforts to strengthen it for better access to jobs and services in the state.  If you are in the Metro area and can arrange to be at one of these hearings, please do so--particularly the senate budget committee hearing at 12:30 at which a show of support for this issue will be especially helpful.  If you can't make these hearings, there will be more to come and will keep you posted.
