Minnesota Federationists,

In case you have not already heard, I am happy to report the good news that today Governor Dayton signed the supplemental budget bill which contains the
$500,000 per year increase to the state appropriation for State Services for the Blind, to be used to provide the training and services that Minnesota's growing number of blind seniors need to remain living independently in their homes and participating in their communities. Each person in this organization who made a phone call, wrote an email or sent a tweet, participated in a meeting with a legislator, stayed for long hours in committee meetings, and so many other things large and small that enable this organization to do its work--you can know that you've been a part of truly improving opportunities for many blind people in this state.
