Subject: [NFBMN-News] Participate in the Washington Seminar!
Good evening, Fellow Minnesota Federationists,
This is your friendly legislative chair writing to encourage anyone who
would like to be part of the NFB's Washington Seminar this year to sign up
by February 1! Please read on for more information.
As we heard on the national January Presidential Release
<https://nfb.org/resources/publications-and-media/presidential-releases>
last week, much of our 2022 Washington Seminar will take place virtually
again this year. Much like in 2021, this is another great opportunity for
many members to participate without the need to travel.
The fact sheets about our four legislative issues, and also an answer for
anyone wondering "what is the Washington Seminar?" can be found at the main
Washington Seminar
<https://nfb.org/programs-services/advocacy/washington-seminar> link.
Preliminary meetings, including the Great Gathering In, will take place on
Monday, February 7. Meetings with our Congressional delegation, many of
which will be virtual, will occur at different times on February 8 and 9.
There will be opportunity for attendees to hear discussion and ask questions
in advance of the meetings.
Minnesota Federationists who would like to participate in the meetings with
our members of Congress should sign up by February 1 (and preferably sooner)
by emailing jennifer.dunnam1829 at gmail.com
<mailto:jennifer.dunnam1829 at gmail.com> or texting/calling 612-203-2738.
We have a lot of success to show from the great work of the many who
participated in our virtual 2021 Washington Seminar, so please sign up and
come help us built even more support for affordable technology, accessible
web sites, accessible medical devices, and ending subminimum wages!
Best,
Jennifer Dunnam
