Greetings Metro Chapter;
You are invited to the Minneapolis Central Library for the February
installment of our chapter meeting. The meeting will take place this
Saturday, February 17, 2024, at 10 AM. We will meet in the Dodi Boardroom
located on the second floor of the library.

Information for locating the library and the meeting room is listed below.
This month, we will prepare for our upcoming Day at the Capitol. We will
also hear the Presidential Release for February which was not live this
month. There will be time for discussion/questions.
Please let me know if there are additional items you would like to share

Minneapolis Central Library

The library is accessible from Nicollet Mall by bus via Routes 10, 11,
17 and 18.
If you are using the Light Rail:
At the Nicollet Mall Station, traveling into Downtown Minneapolis from the
west, exit the train and turn left. You will be walking toward the front of
the train and Nicollet Mall.  Cross Nicollet Mall, turn right and walk two
blocks heading North to  3rd Street where you will find an entrance to the
library. The library entrance will be located on Nicollet Mall.
At the Hennepin Warehouse District Station, exit and walk toward the back of
the train toward Hennepin Avenue. Cross Hennepin and turn left, walking
North. cross 4th Street and you will have arrived at the library. The
entrance will be on the Hennepin Avenue side of the building.
Directions to reach the Dodi Boardroom: (These directions were prepared with
the help of a staff person at the library as well as a brief visit I made to
check out the room. I will be going back prior to Saturday and will edit
them after that as needed)

Entering from the Nicollet Mall side of the library:
Walk through the double doors of the entrance, continue to walk straight and
you will hear escalators on your left. Take the escalator to the second
floor. Take a slight right and walk until you find a hallway where you will
turn left and walk until you reach the boardroom which will be on your
right.
There is a lobby elevator located across from the escalator. Entering from
the Nicollet side, make a right after entering the library and then walk
straight ahead until you reach an alcove with the elevators on your right.
Take the elevator to the second floor. Turn left after exiting the elevator.
Take another left quickly after exiting the elevator and walk down a hallway
keeping glass doors to your left and a cement pillar to your right. This
will put you in the hallway for the Doty Boardroom. From there, take another
left and walk until you find the boardroom on your right.

Entering from the Hennepin Avenue side of the library:
Enter one set of doors from the outside and then a second set of doors that
enter the library atrium. Take a right from there and walk until you hear
the escalator on your right. If you are using the elevator, make a left at
the escalator and walk until you find the alcove for the elevator.
