               Live in the North Branch, MN school district, with

Hello Everyone,

I am seeking help recruiting potential volunteers for an upcoming
opportunity for students. On either the first or second Saturday in October,
our transition team will host a networking event, and I am seeking blind,
low vision, and Deafblind professionals to join us and network with
students. For those who have been with SSB over the years, you may recall
Sheila coordinating this event last in 2018. We are bringing this back as we
have not coordinated this since then.

I will put together a handout with further details soon. Until then, please
help me spread the word to community members who may want to volunteer their
time on an October Saturday to join us and chat with students. We will be at
the CareerForce center in North Minneapolis on West Broadway Avenue. I plan
to have the networking session in the morning and hope to have a variety of
adults and workers in various occupations available to the students.
Volunteers will set up at tables like you would find at any job fair, and
the students will mingle with the volunteers and learn about career paths
and whatever else the volunteers want to share.

We will be recruiting students from across the state to attend, so the more
volunteers and diversity we can attract, the better! If you know anyone who
may be interested, please let me know or share my contact information with
them so I can discuss details. I plan to connect directly with a few staff
about getting the word out on various channels, but please feel free to
contact me with any ideas or questions!
