Have You Faced Barriers Because of Smart Glasses?:

The National Federation of the Blind wants to hear from blind people who
have faced discrimination or been denied access because they use smart
glasses as access technology. As discussed in the recent Presidential
Release Live, some public conversations about Meta and other smart glasses
do not yet recognize that these devices can perform legitimate accessibility
functions for blind people. They may help with reading printed information,
understanding surroundings, getting visual interpretation, or completing
everyday tasks more independently.

If a business, workplace, venue, school, transportation provider, or other
entity has told you that you cannot enter, participate, or receive service
while wearing smart glasses, please share your experience with us. Include
where it happened, what device you were using, what explanation you
received, whether you identified the glasses as access technology, and how
the incident affected your ability to participate. Your reports will help us
educate the public, document emerging barriers, and advocate for policies
that protect blind people's access to the technology we use to live the
lives we want.
