Because we were informed by the hotel that their network would not
reliably support the live streaming of the convention, we are taking an
approach which has recently also been used by several other NFB
affiliates such as Wisconsin. During the convention, we will make
audio files available that can be downloaded or played directly.
With the help of our colleagues at Blind Incorporated, audio files of
convention recordings can be accessed at
<a href="http://nfbmn.blindinc.org">http://nfbmn.blindinc.org</a>.
We will notify our NFBMN-NEWS list and also share on twitter when each
file becomes available and will try to provide a link. If you go to
the above link, you will probably see a rough list of files from which
you can choose. We might be able to clean it up a little but this
is still in the works. <br>

We will try to make a couple of files available during each convention
session and will name them to indicate the session and the number of the
file within the session.<br>
<br>
We will try streaming again in the future, but this will give us an
alternate way to make the convention available to you. Please be
patient as this is the first time we’ve tried this.<br>

This should work similarly to clicking on a link to any MP3 files.
In most cases, the file will start to play immediately. In some
cases, it may start a download depending upon one’s settings. If
you are using Windows and you want to download the file, you should be
able to press your “Applications” key and pick the “Save Target As”
option.<br>

We will try to keep you informed as we progress, and perhaps try a test
file sometime before the convention starts on Saturday morning.<br>
