\Subject: Nationwide BRAL Contest is About to Open!

The first Nationwide Braille Readers Are Leaders (BRAL) Contest For Kids
starts tomorrow, December 15! Kids can start reading and recording their
pages on this opening date.

Participating in this new adventure to promote Braille amongst our
children are 12 states: Oklahoma, Missouri, Illinois, Minnesota,
Pennsylvania, Maryland, Virginia, New Jersey, Delaware, Indiana,
Louisiana, and Montana.

Remember kids in your states can register even after December 15, and can
even start reading after that date. The final date to register is
February 1, 2018.

Other details, including the complete rules for the contest, are on the
NFB of Illinois website,
www.nfbofillinois.org.

With the contest your kids ought to have plenty to keep them busy over
the Christmas break. Remember, the contest is promoting recreational
Braille reading, so hopefully your kids have fun participating. And as
always the spirit of competition will probably kick in, including the
idea of possible prizes at the end of the contest.

If you have any questions, contact the contest administrator, Deborah
Stein at 773-203-1394, or at

Nationwide BRAL in the subject line).
