Greetings, fellow federationists,<br>
This email is to let you know that Dan Wenzel, who has been the director
of BLIND Inc. since early 2014, has accepted a position as the Director
of the Wisconsin Center for the Blind and Visually Impaired (WCBVI) in
Janesville, Wisconsin. Although we wish that Dan were not leaving,
we congratulate him on his new opportunity and are glad he will be just
right next door in Wisconsin. The board of Directors of BLIND, Inc. is
starting right away on the process for hiring a new executive director,
and Dan will be here until May 24 to assist in the transition. Because of
the foundation Dan has laid during his five years of dedicated leadership
of the training center, and with the great group of staff who will still
be here, BLIND, Inc, is in excellent stead to keep going strong through
the transition, providing students with the best adjustment-to-blindness
training available anywhere.<br>
We will keep you up-to-date as we learn more. Thank you, Dan, for being a
vital part of our federation family here in Minnesota for the past five
years.<br>
