2021 NFBMN Day at the Capitol<br><br>

Join via Zoom from any quiet place, like your couch or kitchen

Our largest, legislative event in the state, Day at the Capitol is

typically when we gather in St. Paul to meet our representatives and

senators face-to-face to fight for the rights of blind Minnesotans. This

year, to protect the health of our members and elected officials, we will

meet virtually via the Zoom platform. As in past years, we will put you

into groups, and each group will have an experienced team leader who

understands the legislative process. We will send each group an itinerary

of appointments, Zoom links, and phone numbers.<br><br>

We encourage everyone to join us, even if you are not a policy wonk or

political junkie! You  already have the lived experience as a blind

Minnesotan, and that is what our senators and representatives will want

to know about.  We will be sure that you have easy-to-understand,

specific information about our legislative priorities for this

year.<br><br>

At this point, there are two things you can do:<br><br>

1. Clear your calendar (including requesting the day off from work if

needed) for Wednesday, January 13.<br><br>

2. Get your dry cleaning done so you can dress to impress.<br><br>

Soon, we’ll send you information about our legislative priorities and the

appointments. Please do not make any appointments at this time, as the

process will be slightly different this year.<br><br>

We need as many attendees as possible to make this event a

success.<br><br>
