All,

So many of us know what a tremendous difference the National Federation
of the Blind has made in our lives. Through the Walk for Opportunity, and
in the weeks and months leading up to it, we worked together to help make
sure it can continue to make that same positive difference for
otherspeople we know and people we may never get to meet. Thank you so
much to everyone who participated in this effortby asking friends and
colleagues for contributions and making ones of your own; walking the
10K; working at checkpoints; telling people about the NFB of Minnesota;
assisting with the creation and distribution of t-shirts; advance-walking
the route; hauling water and chairs... and on and on. Together we made it
a great day! The organizing committee consisted of Harley Acy and
Jennifer Dunnam as co-chairs, with Dave Andrews, Jan Bailey, Kotumu
Kamara, Samantha Flax, and Deanna Langton.

Here are our top five fund-raisers: #5, Steve Jacobson; #4, Kotumu
Kamara; #3, Jan Bailey; #2, Jamie Richey (who has been with us for just a
few short weeks)!, ... and, defending his several-years-long
championship, the member bringing in the highest total contributions is
Dave Andrews, who did the 10K walk in Stillwater! Congratulations and
thanks to all.

Of course, many more people worked hard and did a great job at
fund-raising, and every single contribution and every single person is so
much appreciated.

photos from the walk posted on our Facebook page.

The total amount we have raised together, as of now, is $4,935. We know
of more contributions that are pending, so there will doubtless be an
updated total later.

Finally, I want to thank once more our sponsors and provide their
information for your consideration one more time.
