This is a critically important message.
Dear Members of the National Federation of the Blind of
Minnesota,

At our convention a few weeks ago, we accidentally skipped the election
of a board position that has previously been held by Jan Bailey of
Rochester. To fill this position and in accordance with our restated
bylaws, I am calling a special meeting of the affiliate to occur
immediately prior to our board meeting on Monday, December 4 at 6pm. The
meeting will take place in the NFB Conference Room at our headquarters:
100 East22nd Street, Minneapolis, MN 555404.

Because we need at least 30 members present to conduct business, I am
asking that you please
complete this quick,
three-question form to let us know if you will attend by next Friday.
It’s crucial that as many people attend in person as possible so that we
can conduct the election by secret ballot.

Jan is interested in continuing to serve in this role. If you are
interested in being considered for the position, I would be happy to
speak with you about the responsibilities and answer any questions ahead
of the meeting, at which we will follow our practice of calling for
nominations from the floor.

While the circumstances for our special meeting are unique, I am excited
for you to participate in our board meeting, where we will be discussing
funding for Washington Seminar, our upcoming legislative activities, an
NFB-BELL Academy next summer, and our priorities for 2024.

With gratitude,

Corbb
