Hello fellow Federationists, I hope this message finds you all well and
enjoying this beautiful weather. This Saturday, the Metro Chapter
is holding a grocery bagging fundraiser at Cubb in Plymouth. Not
only is this an opportunity to raise funds for our chapter, but it’s a
great opportunity for us to get out in the community, to meet people, and
to show that blindness doesn’t mean a lack of independence. Now I
already know what you’re thinking: How can I help? We have a
table, we have chairs, we will have some activities and information to
educate people about blindness, the only last thing we need to make this
grocery bagging fundraiser a smashing success is, well, people to do the
actual grocery bagging. If you are available this Saturday, for any
two hour block between 10:00 AM and 3:00 PM and would like to help out,
I’d love to hear from you: you can Email me at steve@sawczyn.com or you
can call/text (207) 458-8270. But wait! If you’re reading this
and thinking, gosh, I’d love to help, but I’m not the most confident
grocery bagger the TwinCities has ever seen, don’t let that stop you
because our own awesome Debbie Hobson has offered to provide some Zoom
training on the do’s and don’ts of proper, efficient, and effective
grocery bagging, this Friday, at 3:00 PM.
So, just to recap:

The Metro Chapter is conducting a grocery bagging fundraiser, this
Saturday, at Cubb, located at 3550 Vicksburg LN Plymouth MN 55447.

We’re looking for people who are willing to help with the actual
grocery bagging, and also for people who might be interested in helping
with education and other activities at our table.

Anyone interested and willing to help out should please contact me
either by Email: Steve@Sawczyn.com or call/text: (207) 458-8270.

Whether you’re able to help out with this fundraiser or not, you
also have an opportunity to learn more about the right and most efficient
way to bag groceries as well as things to avoid, this Friday, at 3:00 PM,
Zoom info to follow in a separate Email.

As always, if you have any questions, thoughts, or if you just want to
say hello, please feel free to reach out as I’d be glad to hear from
you.

Thanks, I look forward to reporting on our grocery bagging fundraiser to
the chapter at our up-coming May meeting.
