Each year, The NFB OF MN Board of Directors authorizes the president to
offer funding for members who wish to attend Washington Seminar but who
need financial assistance in order to do so. Preference is given to those
who have never attended Washington Seminar, but members who have
previously attended are also eligible to apply. In order to receive
assistance, applicants must:
<ol>
<li>Be a member in good standing of the National Federation of the Blind
of Minnesota. Note: Membership is not a requirement for those who are new
to participation in Federation activities.
<li>Attend the affiliate caucus, the great gathering in, the evening
debrief meetings, and appointments with legislators.
<li>Fulfill post-event activities, such as writing an article or
delivering a presentation to your local chapter about your experience and
activities conducted during Washington Seminar.
<li>Submit any and all receipts for reimbursement within thirty (30) days
after returning from the state convention, sooner is preferred.
<li>Agree to read and abide by the National Federation of the Blind's
Code of Conduct.
<li>Submit this application no later than November 30, 2024.
