Our annual Day at the Capitol is typically when we gather in St. Paul to
meet our representatives and senators face-to-face, To educate them about
blindness and to bring momentum to our legislative efforts on behalf of
blind Minnesotans. <br><br>
This year, to let the dust settle on some construction logistics and some
power-sharing negotiations in the Legislature, we have changed the date
from what may previously have been announced at some chapter meetings.
We'll be back at the Capitol in person next year even with the ongoing
construction, but this year We have also opted to conduct the event
virtually via zoom (as we became expert at doing during the pandemic a
few years ago!) <br><br>

Our legislative priorities will involve quality education for blind
children, ending subminimum wages, and accessible prescription labeling.
We will send more specifics as the time gets closer.<br><br>
As usual, participants will be put into groups, and each group will have
an experienced team leader who understands the legislative process. We
will send each group an itinerary of appointments, Zoom links, and phone
numbers.<br><br>
