Dear Members,

The National Federation of the Blind of Minnesota is traveling to Iowa to
support our friends and colleagues there. The Iowa Department for the
Blind has a new director who is making harmful changes without listening
to blind Iowans. These changes threaten important programs and the
independence of blind people in Iowa.

We are joining the Iowa affiliate to protest these decisions and to show
that blind people deserve leadership that respects history, listens to
the community, and works with staff and clientsnot against
them.
