Each year, The NFB of Minnesota Board of Directors authorizes the
president to offer funding for members who wish to attend the Minnesota
Convention but who need financial assistance in order to do so.
Preference is given to those who have never attended the Minnesota
convention, but members who have previously attended are also eligible to
apply. <br><br>

Note: The website currently lists a deadline of October 31. We are
updating this deadline to October 19, one week from today. Please be sure
to submit the form before next Sunday, October 19.<br><br>

In order to receive assistance, applicants must:<br><br>
<ol>
<li>Be a member in good standing of the National Federation of the Blind
of Minnesota.
<li>Attend general sessions, breakout sessions, the
resolutions committee meeting, and the banquet.
<li>Fulfill post-event activities, such as writing an article or
delivering a presentation to your local chapter about your experience and
activities conducted during the convention.
<li>Submit any and all receipts for reimbursement within thirty (30) days
after returning from the convention, sooner is preferred.
<li>Agree to read and abide by the National Federation of the Blind's
Code of Conduct.

Careful observers will note that hotel reservations must be made by
October 15, which is before the deadline to apply for assistance.
Fortunately, the hotel does not charge a fee to reserve a room if
canceled by the November deadline. If you are at all considering
attending convention, please be sure to book your hotel room as soon as
possible.<br><br>
