> The National Federation of the Blind is engaging in a strategic planning process during the next year. This undertaking will enable us to envision a clear, focused future for the organization. Over the course of the next several months, every member of our community will be invited to participate and share their input. As mentioned in the September presidential release, we are currently in what's called the SCAN phase of our strategic planning work. Mission Minded is our consultant and they're working with a steering committee of Federation members who will advise the process and make recommendations to the board of directors.

> As part of that process, we are going to be conducting a survey. The survey is going to run from September 19 to September 25. Please carve out fifteen minutes during that week.
