Hi I just baught a small practice bass amplifier.
It is a First Act, which is I believe a wal mart brand. the case is about
one foot square and only about 6 inches deep and I think the speaker is most
likely a six inch speaker. the dementions are only a rough guess. It is a
60 Hertz 15 watt amplifier.
my question is this. I know that at some time, providing we get the band
really up and running that we will need to get adaquit sound equipment but
to start out we are working with a very tight budget like about every one
out there.
So having said that. I am wondering if it would be practicle to find a set
of bass speakers and run them through the head phone jack. I am thinking
some thing like a set of ten or twelve inch band P A type speakers that are
designed to handle a bass guitar.
I really don't know what is out there in this regard so I wanted to get some
feed back before I wasted any time looking around.
I picked up this bass amp today at a pon shop for only $30 and am very happy
with it. every thing works on it and it sounds pretty good for a cheep
little practice amp.
any feed back would be appreciated even if the honest answer is some thing
like don't even think about it.
I just want to know.
thanks
Robert
