Subject: Re: [musictlk] Vocal pieces in a foreign language?

Hi Miranda. I am currently a vocal performance major. I have sung in
German, Italian, and Laten. It's not a problem to sing in another
language. As long as you make sure the lyrics are in grade one you
will have no trouble reading the words. Your voice teacher should go
over pronunciation with you. I am also a German major, and I still
read all my German course work in grade one braille. It's kidn of
slow at times, but grade one is the way to go for foreign languages.
I have been told there is braille IPA, but I need to look up more
information on it. Maybe someone else on this list can help with that
one.

Hope this helps.
