[musictlk] JAWS And Kontakt

I don't think anybody thinks you are made of money; most of us who are
hiring readers are not made of money, but unless you can find a way to make
this work, which seems unlikely, or unless you can find a volunteer who is
at your beck and call, then you may have to hire a reader.

So if you think I'm made of money then you're so wrong! By the way, is there
a software that is an alternative to Kontakt, that can actually be accessed
by screenreaders?

Anabelle:

I HATE TO LOOK AND SOUND AS IF I'M SHOUTING BUT IT WOULD APPEAR THAT YOU ARE
UNWILLING OR UNABLE TO GET THE MESSAGE: THAT MESSAGE IS SIMPLE. IT MAY WELL
BE IMPOSSIBLE TO CONVERT THOSE BIT-MAPPED IMAGES INTO USEABLE TEXT,
ESPECIALLY IF THEY'RE PART OF A PROGRAM'S OUTPUT OR CONTROLS.

Part of the nuisance of blindness is that you'll sometimes have to be
inventive and come up with alternative ways of doing that which would be
easy with sight, no matter whether you think that's "right" or not. It isn't
a matter of rightness; it's a matter of the fact that we are a very small
minority and that we're *always* playing catch-up when it comes to dealing
with the "innovations" programmers come up with.

With great respect, it seems to me your best bet is to quit stewing about
this, jousting at windmills and remember that what you *really* want is to
accomplish the task. This may well mean that you either have to use
different software as Peter suggests if this is possible and, if it is not,
that you will have to employ -- yes, I said pay for -- a reader.

I'm sorry to be this blunt but it appears that subtlety isn't getting
through.
