[musictlk] Ground Lift

Having said what you just said leads me to suspect that you might just want
to have it cleaned. depending on the environment it was stored in you might
just have some dust accumulated on some contacts or just enough light
corotion from moisture to cause a problem.
I would find some one that cleans that type of electronics. either way it
probably wouldn't hurt to have it cleand any way.
Let us know when and how you get this resolved.

The funny thing is, the hum hasn't happened until recently. When I used it
for the first time, which was probably last year, there was no hum, the
sound was perfectly clean.

Hi.  have you tried it on another circuit in your house or wherever you are?

Does anything else in your signal chain, or, anything else plugged into your
power conditioner have the same hum issue?

get a sighted person to get an outlet tested and check the outlets at your
place.

Also, are you using balanced or unbalanced cables?

Yes, a rack EQ. I use a Furman PL8 power conditioner, and an SPL Pass EQ.

I tried flipping the switch for the ground lift on my EQ Machine, but it
didn't work. The 60 Cycle hum is still there. What do I do next?
