Hi, Julie,

I will contact you off-list with more detail. Dancing Dots can supply
either of the embossers you ask about. They both work fine with our
GOODFEEL Braille Music Translator. We also are a Duxbury dealer.

Subject: [musictlk] Questions about embossers

Hi everyone. I apologize if you get this twice.

I have a couple of questions. I am in the process of perchasing a lot of
technology. I am going to buy the lime and goodfeel music software,
duxbury, and an embosser. I am working with the assistive technology
specialist at the university to decide which embosser to buy. There are
really a lot of them. We were thinking about the Index Basic D or the Romio
Attache. We want one that is small enough to be a personal embosser. Here
are a few of the questions we came up with in regards to the embossers.

1. What company should we buy from? We are looking for a company with good
customer service.
2. Have there been any major problems with either of these embossers?
3, What do you see as the advantages/disadvantages of each?
4. If you were given the choice, which embosser would you buy and why?

I would also want something that works well with music. Of course, if you
have any other recommendations, please let me know. Also, what kind of
scanner would you recommend? I want something that is easy to use and
quick. Thanks.
