While you're in the LCD section you can change the way you scrub through the time line by note or bar when you have the way you want to edit selected use the arrow keys to move left/right in the song. Use the up and down arrows to change instruments/tracks on the fly. If you hit the VO keys, command, shift. and the accsent key while the track you want you can choose to loop  and do many other editing things from this menu. If you hit the VO keys , command and the accsent key you can move the selected track aroung in the song by either note by using the left/right arrows or move by bar by using the option key and the left/right arrows .

With Garageband 6 you can now copy and paste .wav, mp3 or any other audio files into your project aswell.
