[musictlk] Glory Federation

Hi, All,

We used to sing some of them at the banquet. NAPUB carried the
announcement of the retirement of Friendnk Kort Cykle. I well
remember how tentative he was at first when he'd be on our
convention program. As time went on, he was working with us more
and more and we with him. He finally reached the point in his
relationship with us that he would even request the library song
at banquet. Wouldn't it be wonderful if he came this year--just
because he wants to? I'm not trying to steer this discussion away
from the songs, but I felt this was worth mentioning. Maybe the
Performing Arts Division ought to make a new recording of all the
songs and they should be re-embossed as well. EVELYN

Oh, it also occurs to me that a couple people with digital
recorders
could record any sing-a-long we do, (even a quite informal one)
for
the purpose of keeping a record of the music.

Joshua,

The songbook is words only, with tune names listed; no music
notation
anywhere. It might not be available, but, as Evelyn has
suggested,
contact our Independence Market directly.

Blessings,

Linda

The recording would do me more good, (as a musician.) I haven't
read
Braille music, since 5th grade, so I'm a little rusty. I'm
wanting
another Braille music book. Blessings, Joshua

 Hi, Josh,

I can't remember now if that songbook was free or charged for.
Anyway, go to the NFB site and find the Independence Market.
Then find the literature listings and see if you find it.

I was at the endependence market in Dallas, and I didn't find
any
songbooks. If there are some still available, please let me
 know.
 Blessings, Joshua

 Copies of the

Hi, it's Joshua Lester. When I was at the convention, last
 year, a group of
federationists were singing something about the "Federation,"
to the tune of, "The Battle Hymn of the republic." I couldn't
 understand
what they were singing, because of the applause of the others
in
 attendance.
Could someone please give me those lyrics?
  Thanks, Joshua
