Marion,

Yes, though Sonar does work with J-Sonar, a free scripting set. But I 
think when you get to Reaper's site, it will be obvius they are 
interested in making software affordable and treat folks right. 
Granted it is relatively new and maybe that'll change over time, I 
hope not, but yes having the right machine and interface/sound card 
set up is important. I really would like to get my hands dirty in the 
program but time time time. :).
