[musictlk] Jazz Articulations?

A scoop is a note that "scoops" in quickly from an undetermined pitch
underneath. A doit (just like it sounds) rises from the note to an
undetermined pitch. A plop is a quick dive from the note to an undetermined
lower pitch (opposite of the doit). And a fall is a longer, measured dive to
a pitch (determined or undetermined) after a note.

Onomatopoically, they sound like this to me:
scoop: spoken "bee-oo-wip"
doit: spoken "doit"
plop: spoken "d'oh"
fall: spoken "bee-oom"

Brass players, please correct me if I'm being misleading.

Hi, it's Annabelle.
What exactly is the difference between a scoop and a doit? How about the
difference between a plop and a fall? Are the two pairs essentially the same
playing techniques? Or do the four individual techniques come out sounding
different? I'm wondering if there's an audio example that could show me.
