[musictlk] Question About Music Instruments

LOL
Liszt and I probably wouldn't get along :)... I'm a huge Handle fan and you
can't have true Handle without a Harpsichord! Someone tried doing the
Messiah without a harpsichord in my area and it just didn't sound right... I
like the older instruments better though. I think they are much more
inspiring than the pianos we have today. They just seem full of possibility
where as the modern piano is in everything and that is what everything has.
If I got rich I would have a big room like that guy with all 4 keyboards in
there and my two favorite would be the harpsichord and old piano. (I'd also
maybe have a small organ, but that is getting quite pricy there I think...)
Thanks,

Brandon Keith Biggs

Haha Brandon.
Liszt said the harpsichord sounded like skeletons copulating on a tin roof.

Hello,
No, a harpsichord doesn't sound like any kind of piano...

and part two show the sound pretty clearly. The piano Mozart plays is just
much softer.
Thanks,

Hi, it's Annabelle.
I have a question for you, and I was wondering if you might have an answer
for me. I was wondering, how would I compare the difference in tone between
a pianoforte and a piano? What I want to find out is, is there a difference
in timbre between the pianoforte, the modern piano, and a 19th century
piano, like the ones that were made in 1878, when Peter Dodds McCormick
wrote "Advance Australia Fair"? Would they have sounded like the kind of
pianos made this day? Or would they have sounded more like harpsichords?
here's the comparison I am referring to.

and

If you have any further information, questions, or suggestions for me,
please feel free to Email me at any time, as I check my Emails several times
each day.

Kind Regards,

Annabelle
