I get my strings from juststrings.com. cheapest prices, widest ariety and 
even custom sets.
I use d adarios, elixr or dean markleys. Primarily because I use 008s. For 
down tuning or exotic stuff I either use my morpheus (goes down to drop c) 
my e-capo (goes up 5 steps) or my variax (if I need acoustic, 12 string or 
sitar sounds as well as G, A, drop d, droop Eb and Eb tunings)
